Principal Mortgages is committed to protecting your privacy, the confidentiality and security of personal information provided by you to us. We have adopted the National Privacy Principles, the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000. This sets out the standards to be met in the collection, use, disclosure and handling of personal information.

All the information that we request is required for us to submit a professional application to the respective lender. Information may be disclosed by Principal Mortgages only to organisations that require it to approve and process a loan application. The information may also be used to suggest other opportunities to you that may enhance your financial position.

You have the right to access any such information from Principal Mortgages that relates to you as allowable by law. You also have the right to correct any information that is inaccurate.

It is our policy to securely retain information about clients in case the client decides to go ahead at a later date. If we have prepared information for you and you do not proceed, we retain all information in a secure environment and when the information is no longer needed for any purpose for which the information may be used or disclosed, it will be destroyed.
